מאשרים קבלת מכתביו מו' וכ"א טבת, המשך הדו"ח מהפעולות בעיר גנים, שנתקלו בכמה קישוים וכו'.
ויהי רצון שכמו בהנ"ל ראו הצלחה למעלה מהמשוער, יווכחו שזוהי הוראה נוספת שהקישוים שפוגשים בעבודה הק' דהפצת המעינות חוצה והפצת היהדות בכלל, אין זה אלא נסיון, וענין נסיון ה"ז כמ"ש כי מנסה וגו' וכפירוש רבנו הזקן מנסה מל' ארים נס, הגבהה, ושבודאי שכל הלוקח חלק בכהנ"ל - פועל זה הגבהה בכל עניניו וגם בעניניו הפרטים. וכלשון רבנו הזקן, נעשים מוחו ולבו זכים אלף פעמים ככה, ואז הרי מוסיפים אומץ עוד יותר בפעולות האמורות, והענינים מסתדרים באופן דהליכה מחיל אל חיל.
ומובן שמרשותו ומזכותו למסור כל האמור לכל המשתתפים בפעולות בביסוס המוסדות הק' ובהפצת המעינות, ויהי רצון שיהיו דבריו יוצאים מן הלב ויכנסו ללב השומעים.

We acknowledge receipt of your letters from the 6th and 21st of Teves, with the continued report about the activities in Ir Ganim, which have encountered several difficulties, etc.
May it be G‑d's will that just as you have seen unexpected success in the above-mentioned matters, you will recognize that this is another indication that the obstacles encountered in the holy work of spreading the wellsprings outward and disseminating Judaism in general are nothing but a test. The concept of a test is as it is written: 'Ki Menaseh...' ("For He tests...") and as explained by our master the Alter Rebbe: 'Menaseh' means to raise a banner, an elevation. Certainly, everyone who takes part in these activities brings about an elevation in all their matters, even their personal ones.
And as the Alter Rebbe says: one's mind and heart become a thousand times more refined; then one adds even more strength to these activities, and things progress ever more successfully from strength to strength.
It is understood that you have both permission and merit to convey all of this to everyone participating in strengthening the holy institutions and spreading the wellsprings. May it be G‑d's will that your words come from the heart and enter the hearts of those who hear them.
