Regarding what you write about the hairs of the beard — explain to your wife, may she live and be well, the clear words written by the tzt"z (a decisor in both the revealed and inner aspects of Torah) that "the thirteen attributes of the beard draw forth 'VeHu Rachum' (and He is merciful), etc.; they are great mercies, etc., and through them judgments are sweetened and become pleasant and sweetened" (his notes on Tehillim, Brooklyn 5713, p. 422).
