וובודאי למותר לעוררו שכמו שכל אחד מישראל הוא שלוחו של המקום ב"ה להפיץ את התורה והמצוה ולהאיר עי"ז את החשך של העולם, וכמ"ש כי נר מצוה ותורה אור, עאכו"כ שזהו מחובתו וזכותו של מי שיש לו השפעה על הנוער, והרי בודאי בתוך תלמידיו נמצאים כמה מבני ישראל אשר למרות שהמקצוע שהוא לומד אותם, אינו באופן ישר ענין התורה והמצוה, בודאי שיכול לנצל השפעתו האמורה בענין חיוני זה, כוונתי לקירוב לבן של אלו תלמידיו לאבינו שבשמים ע"י שיתקרבו לקיום המצות בפועל וכמ"ש את האלקים ירא ואת מצותיו שמור כי זה כל האדם, וזכות הרבים מסייעתו להצלחה בפעולה האמורה, ובמדתו של הקב"ה שהיא מדה כנגד מדה אלא שכ"פ ככה, הרי יתוסף בברכת השי"ת ברוב נחת אמיתי יהודי מסורתי מילידיהם שיחיוו

In response to your letter from Sunday: At an auspicious time, you and all those you wrote about will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory—each one for what they need according to your letter's content.
Certainly it is unnecessary to remind you that just as every Jew is an emissary of Hashem to spread Torah and mitzvos and thereby illuminate the darkness of the world—as it is written, "For a mitzvah is a lamp and Torah is light"—how much more so is this both an obligation and a privilege for someone who has influence over youth. Surely among your students there are several Jewish children who, even though the subject you teach them is not directly related to Torah and mitzvos, you can certainly use your influence in this vital matter. I mean drawing the hearts of these students closer to our Father in Heaven by bringing them closer to actual observance of mitzvos, as it says: "Fear G-d and keep His commandments for this is the whole person." The merit of benefiting many will help you succeed in this endeavor. And since Hashem's measure is measure for measure but multiplied many times over, there will be increased blessing from Hashem with abundant true Jewish nachas from your children. Blessings for good news.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that anyone with influence over youth has both a duty and privilege to guide them toward Torah observance. By positively impacting others in this way, one merits increased Divine blessing and true nachas from their own family.
