במענה למכתבה מיום 5/7, בו שואלת מה עלי' לעשות בכדי שיצליח מזלה ותהי' מאושרת בחיים.
והנה כבר ענה בורא עולם ומנהיגו על שאלה זו, ככתוב בתורתו, אם בחקתי תלכו ואת מצותי תשמרו ועשיתם אותם, ונתתי וגו' וכל הברכות האמורות בפרשה (ויקרא כו, ג ואילך). ועוד כתיב, והי' אם שמוע תשמע בקול ה' אלקיך וגו' ובאו עליך כל הברכות וגו' (דברים כח, א, ב). ומצות האמורות הרי מפורשות הן לפרטיהן בשולחן ערוך ובכמה מקומות.
ובשאלתה, מתי תנשא לאיש וכו', הלא אין זה בנוהג לחפש עתידות, כי הרי נאמר תמים תהי' עם ה' אלקיך (דברים יח, יג), אלא שעל איש ואשה הישראלים להיות חזקים בבטחונם בהבורא יתברך ויתעלה, אשר יתן להם חיים מאושרים, שהרי הם מצדם יתנהגו מתאים לרצונו לתורתו ומצותיו.
תקותי שלומדת ומתנהגת כיאות לבת ישראל שכל אחת מהן נקראת בת שרה רבקה רחל ולאה, ותשפיע גם על החבירות שלה בכגון דא, והשם יתברך יצליחה לבשר טוב בכל האמור.

In response to your letter from 5/7, in which you ask what you should do so that your fortune will succeed and you will be happy in life. The Creator of the world and its Ruler has already answered this question, as it is written in His Torah: "Im Bechukosai Telechu V'es Mitzvosai Tishmeru Va'asitem Osam" (If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments and do them), "V'nasati..." (and I will give...) and all the blessings stated in the section (Vayikra 26:3 onward). And it is further written: "V'haya Im Shamoa Tishma B'kol Hashem Elokecha... U'va'u Alecha Kol HaBrachot..." (And it shall be if you diligently listen to the voice of Hashem your G‑d... all these blessings will come upon you) (Devarim 28:1-2). The commandments mentioned are explicitly detailed in the Shulchan Aruch and in many places.
As for your question about when you will marry, etc., it is not customary to seek knowledge of the future, for it is said: "Tamim Tihiyeh Im Hashem Elokecha" (You shall be wholehearted with Hashem your G‑d) (Devarim 18:13). Rather, a Jewish man and woman must be strong in their trust in the Creator, may He be blessed and exalted, Who will grant them a happy life—since on their part they behave according to His will, His Torah, and His commandments.
I hope that you study and conduct yourself as is fitting for a Bas Yisrael—each one of whom is called a daughter of Sarah, Rivkah, Rachel, and Leah—and that you also influence your friends similarly. May Hashem grant you success to share good news regarding all the above.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that happiness and success are achieved by observing Torah and mitzvos with trust in G‑d. By living according to His will and influencing others positively, one merits true blessing.
