במענה למכתבו מיום השני, עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו, אודות המגרעות בסניף צעירי אגו"ח... ואשר דעתו הכל תלוי בזה שיהי' מזכיר מתאים בעל מרץ, וכותב שאף שממשיך בפעולותיו אבל אינו די מרץ וכו'.
והנה הזמן היא אבדה שאינה חוזרת. ומזה מובן שאפילו את"ל שצדק במאה אחוז, עליו לעבוד עד שימצא יותר טוב ממנו, ובפרט שיש מקום לומר שגם לו יש יכולת זו ומרץ ואינו חסר אלא דחיפה ונסיון, והרי בכגון דא מספיקה גם דחיפה מבפנים ז.א. מהאדם עצמו ובפרט שבכגון דא זכות הרבים מסייעתו.
ויהי רצון שינצל הוא וכן כל חבריו שי' ימי הרצון בם אנו נמצאים שהמלך ממה"מ הקב"ה נמצא בשדה ומקבל את כל אדם בספ"י ומראה פנים שוחקות לכולם, כמבואר בלקו"ת, ולאחרי זה הימים דקירוב המאור אל הניצוץ, והרי מבואר ורואים גם במוחש שימים כללים הם ולכן כל תוספת במשך זמן זה נכפל פי כמה בימי השנה הבע"ל, ואם אפלו ריש גרגותא משמיא קא ממני לי' עאכו"כ מזכיר בעניני יהדות ונקודה התיכונה עניני דא"ח, והשי"ת יעזרהו להפיץ אור מסביבתו וכן בעצמו ובאופן דטופח ע"מ להטפיח גם על חבריו, ומני' ומנייהו יתקלס שם עילאה.
ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולכל אשר לו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות.

In response to your letter from Monday, with the enclosed pan (pidyon nefesh), regarding the shortcomings in the Tzeirei Agudas Chabad branch... and your opinion that everything depends on having a suitable secretary with energy. You write that although you continue your activities, there is not enough energy, etc.
Time is a loss that cannot be recovered. From this it is understood that even if we assume you are one hundred percent correct, you must work until someone better than you is found. Especially since it can be said that you yourself have this ability and energy; all that is lacking is a push and experience. In such matters, an internal push—meaning from oneself—is sufficient, especially since in such cases the merit of the many assists him.
May it be G‑d's will that you and all your friends utilize these Days of Will in which we find ourselves—when the King, Melech Malchei HaMelachim Hakadosh Baruch Hu (the King of kings, the Holy One blessed be He) is in the field and receives everyone graciously and shows a smiling face to all, as explained in Likkutei Torah. After this come the days when the luminary draws close to the spark. It is explained—and we also see tangibly—that these are general days; therefore any addition during this time is multiplied many times over during the coming year.
If even a head of a market is appointed from Heaven, how much more so a secretary in matters of Judaism and especially central matters of Chassidus. May Hashem help him to spread light around him as well as within himself—and in such a way that he inspires others to do likewise—and through him and his friends may G‑d's name be glorified.
As we approach the new year coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I hereby express my blessing to you and all yours: A blessing for being inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year both materially and spiritually.
