ז"ע בא לידי[2] מאמר מכ"ע אגרת לגולה (באנגלית מח' תמוז תשי"ז) בצירוף ציורים ממנו, שעשו עלי רושם דוקא ע"י שמצויירים כמו שהן - אן קונצען ואפילו אן קונצען אמנותיים, ומהראוי וגם מהנכון הי' - שבאופן כזה יצייר אלבום שלם של כפר חב"ד, ולא רק במצבו עתה אלא גם כמו שהי' בתחלת בואם לשם, בכדי שבאלבום זה יראו ג"כ התפתחות הכפר וכן עד"ז בתועלת צורת הכפר עתה, כיון שהתקוה שבקרוב יתפתח עוד יותר, ואם תהי' שורת ציורים אלו מוצלחה, יש לחשוב גם ע"ד קביעותם בדפוס אם בתור אלבום שורת-גלויות או גלויות בודדות, והעיקר כנ"ל שיבואו הציורים בפשטותם שבמציאות ולא יתרשם אם מי שהוא יאמר שהרי לזה מתאימה פוטו אין צריכים לציור, וכנראה במוחש החילוק בין פוטו לציור מעשה ידי אומן אפילו הנעשה באומנות הכי קרובה להמציאות.
מובן שבאם ישנם הוצאות הקשורים בהגשמת ציורים האמורים תשתלמנה מקופה מיוחדת ובזה גם שכר טרחה וכו' ואחכה למענהו בבשו"ט בהאמור.
ולמותר להוסיף שאין כוונתי רק להבתים וכיו"ב, אלא גם ובעיקר ציורים מחיי הכפר - מן חיים הרוחנים שברוחניות - ועד לחיים גשמיים שבגשמיות.
בודאי שיש לו שיעורים בנגלה ובחסידות נוסף על שיעורים הנלמדים ברבים שמשתתף בהם.

I recently received a copy of the article "Letter to the Exile" (in English, from Tammuz 5717) along with your drawings. They made a particular impression on me because they are depicted just as they are—without embellishment or even artistic embellishment. It would be proper and correct for you to create a complete album of Kfar Chabad in this style—not only as it is now but also as it was when people first arrived there—so that this album will show the development of the village. Similarly, this will benefit the current form of the village, since there is hope that it will soon develop even more. If this series of drawings is successful, one should consider publishing them in print, either as an album of postcards or individual postcards.
The main point, as above, is that the drawings should reflect reality simply as it is and not be influenced by anyone saying that a photograph would suffice instead of a drawing. The difference between a photo and an artist's drawing—even one done with utmost realism—is clearly apparent.
Of course, if there are expenses involved in producing these drawings, they will be covered from a special fund—including payment for your work—and I await your reply with good news regarding all the above.
It goes without saying that my intention is not only houses and similar subjects but also—and mainly—drawings from the life of the village: from spiritual life in spirituality to material life in physicality.
Certainly you have classes in Nigleh and Chassidus in addition to those public classes you participate in.
