I was pleased to read in your letter about organizing farbrengens in connection with the bright day of Yud-Tes Kislev, and I hope that also regarding the yahrzeit of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nevuga ziya (may his merit protect us), which was Shabbat Shirah just passed, you made efforts in this as well. May it be G‑d's will that the impact of the farbrengens and the words of inspiration spoken will be felt throughout the entire year.

Certainly it is unnecessary to elaborate on the greatness of Kollel Chabad in Eretz Yisrael and the importance of supporting it from every place. The letters of our holy Rebbeim on this matter are well known and need no further endorsement. Therefore, my strong hope is that not only will you find a way to ensure that donations do not decrease from what they have been until now, but you will also strive—and then succeed—to increase donations as needed according to the additional expenses and pressing needs of this time. May Hashem grant you success in this as well.
