To my greatest regret, no reports are reaching here at all regarding the activities of Anash in the Chabad vineyard in general, and especially in spreading the wellsprings outward. It seems that even the clear directive from Above in the recent event^[1] has not caused any movement whatsoever in this matter. When we see with our own eyes that when a human being calls for a draft—everyone listens without hesitation or doubt and then fulfills all subsequent orders from those just one rank above them, even though sometimes the recipient of the order is actually greater than the one giving it except that in this particular area, the giver has some precedence. The lesson and moral are obvious—regarding fulfilling the directives of our Rebbeim, of blessed memory, who stand between us and Hashem our G‑d and transmit commands from the King of Kings, Hakadosh Baruch Hu. Among these essentials is 'Ve'ahavta l'reiacha kamocha' (Love your fellow as yourself), which means we must instill authentic Judaism—our Torah and its mitzvos—with chassidic light and warmth. Instead, people are busy with every possible matter (and I fear first and foremost—pointless anxieties about what tomorrow may bring or what will happen in an hour or two; such fears have no bearing on what must be done now, and they indicate a lack of trust and that faith is only superficial), yet no one pays attention to fulfilling their inner soul-mission of spreading the wellsprings—which is especially urgent now since Jewish hearts have been deeply stirred and many breaches have opened in the barrier separating Israel from their Father in Heaven. Of course, G‑d forbid to judge anyone unfavorably; I am simply trying again and again—perhaps this time people will recognize the true state of affairs and what this moment demands from each individual. Let them not be distracted by empty words...

May it be G‑d's will that you find suitable words to explain all of this wherever your influence reaches—and most importantly, that your explanation leads to action rather than empty resolutions or mere talk. May you use well the beautiful portion Divine Providence has granted you for good—for yourself, your family, and all Israel—and may you be written and sealed for good together with your household for visible and revealed good.
