במענה על מכתבו, בו כותב על דבר כתב המלצה בקשר עם הפעולה למען "אוצר הפוסקים", כמדומה לי שאמרתי לכת"ר בשעת שיחתנו שעל פי הסדר של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר - אין נהוג הנ"ל אצלנו.
לאידך גיסא, מובן גודל התועלת והנחיצות שבמפעל "אוצר הפוסקים", ובפרט בדורנו דור יתום זה, אשר - מצד אחד - נשרפו ונאבדו רבבות טופסים של ספרי הלכה והוראה, ומצד שני, הרי הלימוד לשם בירור פסק הדין, הלכה למעשה ובטעמה ובנימוקה, הולך ומתמעט ומתצמצם. והרשות ביד כת"ר למסור דעתי זו במקומות שיבקר, ובטוחני אשר אנ"ש שי' אשר שם יעזרו לו בזה.

In response to your letter, in which you write regarding a letter of recommendation in connection with the activities for "Ozar HaPoskim," it seems to me that I told you during our conversation that according to the order of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, this is not our custom.
On the other hand, it is clear how great and necessary the benefit of the "Ozar HaPoskim" project is—especially in our generation, this orphaned generation—where on one hand tens of thousands of copies of halachic and instructional books have been burned and lost, and on the other hand, study for clarifying practical halachic rulings with their reasoning and explanation is steadily diminishing and contracting.
You are permitted to convey this opinion of mine in places you visit, and I am confident that our Anash there will assist you in this matter.
