והנה לכל לראש צריך להרבות שקידה והתמדה בלימוד הנגלה ובלימוד פנימיות התורה נשמתא דאורייתא לימוד החסידות, ולתיקון ענין שכותב אודותו אשר חיות דקדושה מתלבשת בענינם דקליפה ר"ל, - הרי צריך להשתדל ביותר וביותר להוסיף חיות בלימודו הנ"ל ולהשפיע גם על חבריו שיתוסף בהם חיותם בלימודם הם, ולא לשים לב לפיתויי היצר הרע המבלבל את האדם במחשבות שונות ומשונות ומחשבות של ענינים שהם זרים להם, וכשירצה את כל זה באמת יצליחו השי"ת.

In response to your letter in which you write about your situation in yeshivah and what you have experienced in the past, as well as ways to rectify this.
First and foremost, you need to increase diligence and consistency in the study of Nigleh (the revealed part of Torah) and the study of the inner dimension of Torah—the soul of Torah—learning Chassidus. To correct the matter you wrote about, where holy vitality becomes invested in matters of Kelipah (G‑d forbid), you must strive even more to add vitality to your learning as mentioned above, and also influence your friends so that their own vitality in their studies increases. Do not pay attention to the enticements of the evil inclination that confuses a person with various strange thoughts or thoughts about matters foreign to them. When you truly desire all this, may Hashem grant you success.
