I was pleased to receive your letter (without indication of when it was written), in which you raised the matter of establishing fixed times for Torah study in the synagogue. There is already a beginning in this with the study of necessary halachos, and certainly—not only will you continue with this, but you will also increase as our Sages ruled: "one ascends in matters of holiness." May it be G‑d's will that it be with success.

I was further pleased by what you wrote about setting times for learning both Nigleh and Chassidus five times a week, in addition to the ongoing study of necessary halachos. The great merit you have in bringing this matter into action is immeasurable.

It is already known regarding the explanation of the Mishnah "Shnayim Ochazin B'Tallit" (Two hold onto a garment) what we have heard many times from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose yahrzeit it is, and which is also printed in the booklet on studying Chassidus. Certainly there will be efforts to increase the number of participants also in this class, and may Hashem grant you success.

Certainly you gathered on the day of the yahrzeit, and may it be G‑d's will that this inspiration continue throughout the entire year.
