I acknowledge receipt of your letters from the 3rd and 5th of Shevat with the pan (petitionary note) and the attached notes, which I will read, G‑d willing, at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal. Certainly it is unnecessary to remind Anash through you—those who deliver the pan—that they should also inspire those delivering them about my father-in-law's explanation regarding material blessings: that a blessing is like rain—it requires plowing and sowing, and then the rain brings great success, etc. Surely you will find suitable words to explain this matter, and may Hashem grant you success.

Certainly you have also explained to the students of the Talmud Torah about the Baal HaHilula—about his life story and some of his activities—in a way appropriate for their understanding. And if this has not yet been done, it should at least be done in the days close to the yahrzeit. May it be G‑d's will that these words have an effect on both speakers and listeners.

With blessings for success in your holy work with proper health both materially and spiritually.
