It goes without saying that I am very interested in the situation of each member of Anash, especially those who have gone through so much in recent years and have emigrated to seek a place of rest far away. I am also naturally interested in how our brothers, the local residents, are responding to the newcomers.
Therefore, I was pleased to hear from Haraha"ch vavac"h iy"a nu"m etc. etc. Moreh... that you helped him at the right time with a favor. I truly want to ask you that you should continue to help him with a favor according to your best ability. For by doing someone else a favor, one does an even greater favor for oneself—both materially and spiritually.
My father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal lehavdil ben chayim l'chayim zichrono tzaddik livracha (may his memory be a blessing), emphasized that the "three loves"—Ahavas Hashem (love of G‑d), Ahavas HaTorah (love of Torah), and Ahavas Yisrael (love of fellow Jews)—are dependent on one another. Expressing any one of these loves through practical deeds helps strengthen the others until ultimately they all become united together. This is the mission and purpose of Jews.
In connection with this Day of Redemption of my father-in-law the Rebbe zatzukal lehavdil ben chayim l'chayim zichrono tzaddik livracha (may his memory be a blessing), who was redeemed from Soviet hands in 5687 (1927), there has been published the booklet "12-13 Tammuz," which I am pleased to send you.
I hope to hear good news from you about your work for the benefit of both the community and individuals.
