מִנְהָגֵנוּ בְּלְבִישַׁת טַלִית גָדֹול: מַנִיחִים הַטַ"גָ (הַטַלִית גָדֹול) מְקוּפָּל עַל כָּתֵף יְמִין וּבֹודְקִים הַצִיצִית.
בְּשַׁעַת הַבְּדִיקָה אֹומְרִים בָּרְכִי נַפְשִׁי גֹו'.
אַחַ"כַּ (אֲחַר כַּך) לֹוקְחִים הַטַלִית מִן הַכָתֵף, פֹושְׁטִים אֹותֹו, מְנַשְׁקִים שְׂפַת הַטַלִית, מַחְזִיר אֹותֹו מְכְּנֶגֶד פָּנָיו לְאַחֹורָיו וּמַתְחִיל בִּרְכַת לְהִתְעַטֵף בַּצִיצִית, סִיוּם הַבְּרָכָה סָמוּך לְכְּרִיכַת בֵּ' כְּנָפֹות יְמִין סָבִיב צַוָארֹו לְאַחֹורָיו בְּצַד שְׂמֹאל.

Our custom in donning the tallit gadol is as follows: we place the tallit gadol, folded, on the right shoulder and check the tzitzit. While checking, we recite Barchi Nafshi ("Bless my soul"). Afterwards, we take the tallit from the shoulder, put it on, kiss its edge, return it from in front of us to behind us, and begin the blessing Lehisatef BaTzitzit. The conclusion of the blessing is immediately followed by wrapping both corners of the right side around one's neck to behind him on his left side.
