If the trip will not harm her spiritual matters and if she estimates that it will even add to them, then there is room for a direct trip here at the end of Elul until after the holidays (but not otherwise).
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that travel plans should be evaluated based on their impact on one's spiritual growth. If a journey will enhance or at least not detract from spiritual pursuits, it is appropriate to proceed.
