The Rebbe writes that secret meetings are entirely undesirable. He advises that all contact between the parties, including by phone and letters, should cease until after the summer, and only then should the matter be reconsidered based on her feelings at that time.

(2) Therefore, it is advisable that all contact between them (even by phone and letters) should cease until after the summer, and after that she should reconsider the matter according to how she feels then.
