והנה האיש המאיים בגזירה עלי' כותבים – היל"ת – לא נפגשתי עמו, אבל לדעתי אין נ"מ כ"כ, כי השפעה ממשית עליו ועל חבריו אפשר להפעיל רק על ידי לחץ ורעש של הצבור, ע"י עתונות מודעות וכרוזים עצרת עם וכיו"ב, והלואי שעכ"פ זה יצליח.
ויהי רצון מהשי"ת הגודר פרצות עמו ישראל שיחוס וירחם על שארית הפליטה, בפרט בדורנו דור יתום זה, ובחסד וברחמים יגדור כל הפרצות ויערה רוח ממרום על כל אחד ואחת מאחינו בני ישראל בכל מקום שהם ללכת בדרך התורה והמצוה בחיי היום-יום, וימהר קץ גלותנו חושך כפול ומכופל, בקרוב ממש על ידי משיח צדקנו יבוא ויגאלנו קוממיות לארצנו.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 9th of Iyar. Regarding the person threatening a decree about her—your letter states "hil t"—I have not met him, but in my opinion there is no reason to fear this, because real influence on him and his associates can only be exerted through public pressure and noise: via the press, notices and proclamations, public assemblies, and similar means. May it be that as a result of this effort there will be success.
May it be the will of Hashem, Who repairs breaches among His people Israel, that He have compassion and mercy on the remnant of the survivors—especially in our generation, this orphaned generation—and with kindness and mercy repair all breaches and pour out a spirit from Above upon each and every one of our brothers among the Jewish people wherever they are to follow the path of Torah and mitzvah in daily life. May He hasten the end of our exile—this doubled and redoubled darkness—very soon through Moshiach Tzidkeinu who will come and redeem us upright to our land.
