לאחרי הפסק ארוך נתקבל מכתבו, בהוספה לפ"ש שמקבל אני מאנ"ש המבקרים אותו שאני דורש בשלומו על ידם.
ויהי רצון שבקרוב יבשר בעצמו במכתבו הבא שמצב בריאותו הולך וטוב. וזכות פעולותיו לביסוס היהדות בכלל ובעניני חב"ד באה"ק ת"ו במיוחד תעמוד לו להטבת הבריאות ולמילוי משאלות לבבו לטובה.

על פי משל ממלך שקודם בואו לעיר יוצאין אנשי העיר לקראתו ומקבלין פניו בשדה ואז רשאין כל מי שרוצה לצאת להקביל פניו והוא מקבל את כולם בסבר פנים יפות ומראה פנים שוחקות לכולם כו'. והנמשל מובן.

Shalom u'Vrachah! After a long break your letter was received, in addition to what I hear from Anash who visit you that I inquire about your wellbeing through them. May it be G‑d's will that soon you will personally share in your next letter that your health is steadily improving. The merit of your activities to strengthen Judaism in general and especially in matters of Chabad in your community will stand by you for improved health and the fulfillment of your heart's wishes for good.
Especially as we are now in the month of mercy, whose essence is explained by our master the Alter Rebbe with a parable: Before the king enters the city, the townspeople go out to greet him and receive him in the field; then anyone who wishes may approach him and he welcomes everyone with a pleasant countenance and shows a smiling face to all, etc. The lesson is clear.
With blessings for good news and for being inscribed and sealed for good.
