, אשר מעת היות ישראל לעם לא הי' כזה לתת לגויים תעודה שהם יהודים, תעודה חתומה בגושפנקא וכו' וכו', וכפי המצב עתה גם בגושפנקא דתית. ודעת לנבון נקל שלולא טשטוש הבעי' כאילו זהו ענין של מפלגה או עימות כוחות ויוקרה וכו', הרי כל אחד ואחת ישר הולך לא הי' זקוק לביאור ושידול בזה. ובודאי לדכוותי' דמר האריכות בזה אין בה צורך כלל.
בטוחני שכת"ר ימשיך בזה ביתר שאת וביתר עז, ויהי רצון שיבוטל הדבר בקרוב ממש, ומתוך קירוב לבבות אמיתי של בני ישראל מן הקצה אל הקצה. וזכות הרבים בענין חיוני זה מסייעתו להצליח בזה ולהוסיף ברכת השי"ת בכל המצטרך לו ולבני ביתו שי' בגשם וברוח.

May it be G‑d's will that you hear good news in all matters. And may his merit in his actions bring about the nullification of the terrible decree regarding "Who is a Jew," something that has not occurred since Israel became a nation—to give non-Jews a certificate stating they are Jews, a certificate signed with an official seal and so on and so forth; and according to the current situation, even with a religious seal. And it is easily understood by anyone with insight that were it not for the confusion of presenting this as if it were an issue of party politics or power struggles and prestige and so on, every single person would immediately go straight—there would be no need for explanation or persuasion in this matter. And certainly for your honor there is no need at all to elaborate on this.
I am certain that you will continue in this with even greater strength and vigor. May it be G‑d's will that this matter be nullified very soon, through genuine closeness of hearts among Jews from one end to the other. And the merit of the many involved in this vital matter will help you succeed in this and add G‑d's blessing in all you and your household require materially and spiritually.
