נעם לי לקבל פ"ש ממנו על ידי ידידנו מר שלמה שי' מידנצ'יק, יושב ראש ועד כפר חב"ד, שמסר לי גם מכתבו.
מובן שקשה במכתב להביע כל אשר עם לבבי בנוגע הבעיות העומדות על הפרק בפני עמנו בארצנו הק' ובתפוצות, בעיות בגשם וברוח שהא בהא תליא, אף שבהזדמנויות שונות חויתי דעתי בכמה וכמה ענינים.
אבל – נכון לבי ובטוח
שנצח
ישראל לא ישקר ח"ו, אבל על פי התורה הנקראת
תורת
חיים, משום שהיא הוראה בחיים ומקור חיים ראויים לשמם, הרי על
האדם
לעשות כל התלוי בו בדרך הטבע ולשים בה' מבטחו, וכבר הובטחנו
וברכך
ה' אלקיך בכל מעשה ידך אשר תעשה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter through our friend Mar Shlomo Midanchik, chairman of the Kfar Chabad committee, who also delivered your letter to me.
It is clear that it is difficult to express in a letter all that is on my heart regarding the issues currently facing our people in our holy land and throughout the Diaspora—issues both material and spiritual, which are interconnected—even though I have shared my opinion on various matters at different opportunities.
However, my heart is steadfast and confident that Netzach Yisrael Lo Yeshaker Hu ("the Eternal One of Israel does not lie")—but according to Torah, which is called Torat Chaim ("a Torah of life") because it is guidance for life and a true source of life, a person must do all that is within his natural ability and place his trust in Hashem. We have already been assured: "And Hashem your G‑d will bless you in all the work of your hands that you do."
