... Surely his brothers who are in the army are meticulous as required in putting on tefillin every weekday. Especially since it is said: 'VeRa'u kol amei ha'aretz ki shem Hashem (And all the peoples of the earth will see that the Name of the L‑rd is called upon you) (and our Sages explained—these are tefillin) is called upon you and they will fear you.'
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that careful observance of tefillin not only fulfills a mitzvah but also visibly demonstrates G‑d's presence, inspiring respect and awe from others—even among non-Jews.
