In response to your question: It is understood that all matters one wishes to accomplish should be done in ways of pleasantness and peace, as it is stated: Deracheha Darchei Noam v'Chol Nesivoseha Shalom ("Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace"). Especially regarding the matters you write about—when people see an approach of pleasantness, this itself will help in the matter.
Additionally, there is a general point: The person discussed deserves honor and appreciation for his dedication to education and his activity in this area.
