הרחמים והרצון, אשר ענינם מבואר על פי משל הידוע של כ"ק רבינו הזקן בעל התניא והשלחן ערוך:
משל למלך שקודם בואו לעיר יוצאין אנשי העיר לקראתו ומקבלין פניו בשדה ואז רשאין כל מי שרוצה לצאת להקביל פניו והוא מקבל את כולם בסבר פנים יפות ומראה פנים שוחקות לכולם כו' (לקוטי-תורה, פ' ראה, דף לב).
ויהי רצון מהשם יתברך שיקבל בסבר פנים יפות ושוחקות תפלות ובקשות כל אחד ואחד מאתנו בתוככי כלל ישראל לטובה ולברכה.
ולקראת השנה החדשה, הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולכל אשר לו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

I hereby gratefully acknowledge receipt of your letters, in addition to the information from Anash sh"y regarding your activities. May Hashem grant you success so that you can report only good news both concerning yourself and general matters.
Especially in these auspicious days—the days of the month of mercy and favor—whose meaning is explained by the well-known parable of our master Rabbeinu HaZaken, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch: The parable is of a king who, before entering the city, is met by its people who go out to greet him in the field. Then anyone who wishes may go out to greet him, and he receives everyone with a pleasant countenance and shows a smiling face to all (Likkutei Torah, Parshas Re'eh, p. 32).
May it be G‑d's will that He accept with a pleasant and smiling countenance the prayers and requests of each one of us within all Israel for good and blessing.
As we approach the new year coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I hereby express my blessing to you and all yours: a blessing for being inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year both materially and spiritually together.
