באיחור זמן נודעתי מפטירת אביהם היקר העוסק בצרכי ציבור, רב פעלים, בעל מדות, ענף עץ אבות כמר יוסף עליו השלום. והנני משתתף בצערם, והשם יתברך ויתעלה ינחמם בכפלים.
בידעי מסורת המשפחה בשטח החזקת היהדות והפצתה, תקותי חזקה שבני המשפחה שיחיו לא רק ימשיכו במסורת אבות זו אלא עוד יוסיפו בזה, שהרי ידוע גודל הנחת-רוח לנשמה מהמצות והמעשים טובים של הבנים והקרובים השומרים דרך ה' וממשיכים פעולותיו הטובות של האבא והבעל וכו', בהנהגה בחיי היום-יום על פי התורה והמצוה, להיות דוגמא חי' לכל הסביבה הקרובה והרחוקה.

: אדם מקדש עצמו מעט למטה, מקדשין אותו הרבה מלמעלה.

To the family of the late distinguished activist, lover of Torah and supporter of sages, Mr. Yosef Barduga, of blessed memory.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
I learned with delay about the passing of your dear father who was involved in communal needs, accomplished much, possessed fine character traits, a branch of a noble lineage like Mr. Yosef, peace be upon him. I share in your sorrow and may Hashem, blessed and exalted be He, comfort you doubly.
Knowing your family's tradition in upholding and spreading Judaism, my strong hope is that the family members will not only continue this ancestral tradition but will add to it. It is well known how much pleasure the soul receives from mitzvos and good deeds performed by children and relatives who follow the path of Hashem and continue the good deeds of their father and husband, conducting themselves daily according to Torah and mitzvah—to serve as a living example for all those around them both near and far.
In all such matters we have been assured: when a person sanctifies himself a little below, he is sanctified greatly from Above.
With blessings for all family members for life; may it be G‑d's will that from now on you know no more sorrow and that only goodness and kindness be your lot—goodness that is visible and revealed.
