Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from Sunday, in which you write about your worldview and ask regarding the future of a certain movement.
Certainly it needs no explanation that every single Jew without exception is part of our eternal nation, about whom it is said "Asher goy echad ba'aretz hu" ("Who is like Your people Israel, a unique nation on earth") or in another style "Am levadad yishkon" ("A nation that dwells alone"). This is because each individual from this nation received one Torah from the One G‑d—just as G‑d and the Torah are eternal, so too is the recipient of the Torah eternal. Until all nations of the world feel this—even if not all admit it [and it seems this feeling is also the reason for their hatred toward our people; for in all movements from the far right to the far left—even though logically they should bridge between all peoples and abolish eternal hatred toward the eternal people—toward Am Yisrael].
The immediate conclusion from what was said above is that even though it seems that every Jew has free choice regarding which worldview to choose and how to conduct themselves in life generally and in daily life specifically, they will never find true peace of mind except in the path set for our eternal people by our eternal Torah.
In simpler words: Every Jew must conduct their daily life according to the guidance of our Torah of life and by fulfilling its mitzvos about which it is said "v'chai bahem" ("and you shall live by them"). For it is impossible for something to change its essence—even though one can cover it up or temporarily conceal it even with garments that oppose its very essence and core existence.
From this it is understood that everyone must use all their ability to strengthen this conduct—of Torah and mitzvah—and spread it in their home, environment, and wherever their influence reaches. There is absolutely no difference as to which party one officially belongs to or whether one claims to be among those familiar with Torah and mitzvos or not.
From all the above—in answer to your question—it is not our role to guess what will be the future of this or that movement. Since each person's vital task is to strengthen and establish our people's situation—who are surrounded by enemies on all sides—and also his own situation as much as depends on him. This is achieved by strengthening Judaism and its eternal values and spreading them ever more; we have been assured: "He who comes to purify himself is assisted."
I would be pleased to hear good news regarding all of the above.
With blessing.
And we have been assured: Yoma 38b.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that Jewish identity and fulfillment come from living according to Torah values regardless of party or movement affiliation. Our focus should be on strengthening Judaism personally and communally rather than speculating about organizational futures.
