... He will move to a new home. I repeat my blessings that "a change of place brings a change of fortune" for good and blessing, and that the move should be from strength to strength in both material and spiritual elevation.

Regarding what you wrote about the dedication of the home (Chanukas HaBayis), even though according to Nigleh (the revealed aspect of Torah) there is room for discussion on this—see the later authorities in Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim siman 768; see there Magen Avraham section 5 and Yad Ephraim; also note Shu"t Chatam Sofer Yoreh Deah section 138 and Toras HaShleimim there section 19—since it is a Jewish custom, and there is a teaching from our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe: "The reason for making a feast and joy at a Chanukas HaBayis" (now printed and originally from the manuscript of Reb Pinchas of Shklov), one should act as above. When they gather for a chassidic farbrengen, it will bring benefit both materially and spiritually.

Surely you know our custom to affix mezuzos immediately upon entering the house—and obviously without a blessing. However, after thirty days one removes one mezuzah to check it; it is permitted to replace it with an even more beautiful one, in which case the new one is affixed with a blessing, having intention to include those on all other doors as well...
