במענה למכתבו מערב יום ההילולא עם הפ"נ המצורף אליו שנקרא בעת רצון ביום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע על הציון הק' שלו.
ת"ח על הבשו"ט מהצלחת המסיבה דיום כ"ד טבת יום הילולא של רבנו הזקן, ויהי רצון שככתבו יעורר זה את כל אחד מאנ"ש במחנם הט' להוספה בפעולות לביסוס המוסד הק' והתפתחותו ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, ובפרט אשר מתאים לדברי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בהמשך מאמרי דא"ח שלו ליום הילולא שלו, פרק י"א אשר מלמעלה פותחים סגולות האוצרות דהון יקר וכו' ומבזבזים אותם ע"י פקידי החיל בשביל החיל (עיי"ש).
ולכתבו האם כדאי שבנו שי' יקרא בצבור כל מה שחזר כבר. - כמדומה כבר כתבתי במכתבי הקודם טעם תמיהתי על הנוהג בזה, שמזה מובן שמה שכבר נעשה הרי אין להשיב, ולפחות ינצלו והטורח והזמן ויקרא בצבור לנחת רוח אלו השואפים נחת רוח בכגון זה.
תקותי שהתועדו ביום ההילולא ויהי רצון שיתאים הבפועל למכתבו של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בהנוגע ליום ההילולא של כ"ק אביו (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע, ב' ניסן (קונ' ג, לו).

In response to your letter from the eve of the yahrzeit with the attached pan, which was read at an auspicious time on the yahrzeit of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, at his holy resting place.
Thank you for the good news regarding the success of the gathering on 24 Tevet, the yahrzeit of our master the Alter Rebbe. May it be G‑d's will that, as you wrote, this will inspire each member of Anash in your community to increase their activities for strengthening and developing the holy institution. There is nothing that stands in the way of willpower—especially as it aligns with what my revered father-in-law writes in his series of Chassidic discourses for his yahrzeit (chapter 11), that from Above they open up treasures of precious wealth and distribute them through officers for the benefit of the army (see there).
Regarding your question whether your son should read publicly everything he has already reviewed: It seems I have already written in my previous letter my surprise at this custom. From this it is understood that what has already been done cannot be reversed; at least let them utilize the effort and time so he reads publicly for those who desire such satisfaction.
I hope that you gathered on the yahrzeit, and may it be G‑d's will that your actions correspond to what my revered father-in-law wrote regarding his father's (the Rebbe Rashab) yahrzeit on 2 Nissan (Kuntres Gimmel, p.36).
