Shalom u'Vrachah!
...Regarding the mikveh: What you wrote about making another reservoir on the side so that there will be zeriah (pouring drawn water through rainwater) — according to the method of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe (the Rebbe Rayatz), which is a mikveh above the reservoir and he wanted that water from below should rise onto the upper floor (according to Rabbi Y.L. Landa), this is zeriah in the most effective way, so there is no need for hashakah (connecting drawn water with rainwater) at all according to all opinions, obviously.
Even if it does not rise onto the floor, it should be arranged that the drawn water falls directly into a hole leading to the lower reservoir — that is zeriah. If so, what does a side reservoir add? (Unless as an extra precaution in case something happens to the lower reservoir.)
Summary
The Rebbe clarifies that following the Rebbe Rayatz's method for constructing a mikveh ensures optimal halachic standards without needing additional reservoirs unless for extra caution.
