Regarding what you wrote about the concern of impurity from non-Jewish graves: Although this is not the place to elaborate on the halachic discussion, it is well known from actual practice regarding the conduct of Kohanim in Eretz Yisrael and their travels from Eretz Yisrael to the Diaspora. This demonstrates that there is no concern at all in this matter, and even great Torah leaders and halachic authorities who were Kohanim did likewise.
