a) My letter from the 28th of Adar has surely been received, and I await your response to it.

b) In several of my previous letters I wrote about the Coordinated Committee here, and that the Agency promised to provide funds for homes for youth immigrating from Yemen, Morocco, and similar places. For now, a sum of one hundred thousand has been allocated. After many delays from day to day and month to month, at a meeting held yesterday between representatives of the above committee and Mr. Nahum Goldman and his aides, it was officially announced that they have already begun distributing the above sum. The decision is in the hands of Mr. Kol from the Agency, and ten thousand has already been given to Sajara—I believe this is a settlement associated with Mizrachi. At the same time I also received Mr. Gelman's telegram regarding the building in Lod, and I have again demanded strongly that from the above one hundred thousand they should give to Chabad—especially for the building in Lod which should be designated for students from those countries. However, since the decision is with Mr. Kol and there will be many claimants for these funds, you must do everything possible to secure the maximum possible amount for the building in Lod as well as for the building in Kfar Chabad-Sepharia where improvements have begun but all necessary resources are not yet available. It is likely they will require that these buildings be used specifically for such youth, but surely you can arrange matters appropriately. It is hoped that over time additional sums will be allocated beyond this one hundred thousand; however, no date can be set for this so you cannot rely on it—therefore speed and energy are most necessary here. I may send a telegram about this today, but I am describing the situation more fully in this letter.

c) According to Mr. Goldman's promise etc., building materials designated for this purpose—which constitute a large part of these funds—should be obtained at the lowest possible price according to current regulations and currency rates established now in Eretz HaKodesh Tuvah.

d) It is unfortunate that you do not report detailed information about these matters promptly and on time so that I do not have to receive information from other sources—and sometimes with delay—since not always does news come from loyal friends of Lubavitch; sometimes reports only come when there is no other choice—and enough said...
