In response to your question: If doctors say that it is dangerous for a woman to become pregnant, is it permissible for her to use a barrier or similar methods: This matter has already been discussed by earlier and later authorities, and our Rebbeim permit it. See Responsa tzt"z Even HaEzer section 89; there is also a written response on this topic from his son, Admor Maharayn. I have also heard accounts that my father-in-law, the previous Rebbe, ruled this way in practice (unlike the opinion of some Hungarian rabbis).
