המצווה הרכ"ג
האזהרה שהזהרנו מלאסוף גם מה שמצמיחים האילנות מן הפירות בשנה שביעית כדרך שאנו אוספים פירות כל שנה, אלא נעשה בכך שינוי כדי להראות שהוא הפקר.
והוא אמרו יתעלה: "ואת ענבי נזירך לא תבצר" (שם ה). בא הפירוש: "לא תבצר כדרך הבוצרים. ומכאן אמרו: תאנים של שביעית אין קוצין אותן במקצה, אבל קוצה הוא בחרבה; ואין דורכין ענבים בגת, אבל דורך הוא בערבה; ואין עושין זיתים בבד ובקטבי, אבל כותש הוא ומכניס לבודדה".
וכבר נתבארו דיני מצווה זו עם שלפניה במסכת שביעית.
The 223rd Mitzvah
1. The prohibition in which we were warned not to gather also the produce that trees yield during the seventh year in the same manner as we gather fruit every year. Rather, we must make a change in the way we gather them, to show that they are ownerless.
2. This is as He, may He be exalted, said: "And the grapes of your unpruned vine you shall not harvest" (Vayikra 25:5). The explanation is: "You shall not harvest them in the usual manner of harvesters." And from here they said: Figs of the Shemitah year are not cut with a cutting tool, but one may cut them with a dry stick; and grapes are not pressed in a winepress, but one may press them in a trough; and olives are not processed in the olive press or with the beam, but one may crush them and bring them into a small basket.
