Shalom u'Vrachah!
As we stand at the conclusion and seal of the days of Chanukah, a day on which all eight candles are lit, may it be G‑d's will that the influence of these days of Chanukah extend throughout the entire year. May this influence be visible—since seeing is not like hearing—and may it be dominant in one's perception. May it bring every single person, within our community, over whom it is said "And you shall be holy people to Me," to complete fulfillment of Torah and mitzvot in perfection and for their own sake. This follows the lesson from the Chanukah candles: they are holy and we are not permitted to use them for any purpose except to see them alone. And may the prophecy be fulfilled: "So says the L‑rd of Hosts: If you walk in My ways and if you keep My charge... behold I will bring My servant tzt"z," for G‑d will bring great salvation and deliverance to His people Israel. They will come to His sanctuary, kindle lights in His holy courtyards, and give thanks and praise to His great Name.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that Chanukah's light should inspire us all year long with visible holiness, leading us to complete Torah observance for its own sake. The sanctity of the candles reminds us to dedicate ourselves purely to G‑dly service.
