לפלא שזה זמן רב שלא שמעתי מכ', אף שכמובן הנני דורש עליו ומקבל פ"ש מזמן לזמן מהנעשה אתו. וביחוד נהניתי לשמוע כי כ' השתתף בהתועדות י"ט כסלו בכפר חב"ד. ובודאי בין הדברים שנשמעו באותו מעמד, ואולי גם קודם לכן, שמע פירוש מה שי"ט כסלו נקרא "ראש השנה" לעניני חסידות, ובפרט שמוצאו מבסרבי' ורומני' שם היתה התנועה נפוצה.
תקותי שניצל ומנצל השפעתו ויכולתו בענינים ששוחחנו עליהם כשנפגשנו כאן, ולכל לראש בנוגע לישיבה בקרית גת. ומה שכתב לי לפנים שהענינים לא התפתחו כדבעי משום שאין המזומנים נמצאים בעין, הרי בודאי למותר להסביר לכ' שכל הענינים שנעשו באה"ק ת"ו נעשו דוקא באופן כזה. ואם תמצא לומר, זוהי גם הוראת ימי חנוכה. שהרי כשהי' שמן רק ליום אחד, ועד שיכינו שמן חדש יעברו שמונה ימים, הנה על פי שכל אנושי למה להדליק ולהפסיק, מוטב לחכות עד שיהי' די שמן מן המוכן וכו'; אף על פי כן הדליקו מיד, וראה זה פלא שנמשך והאיר ובאופן דמוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור.

I am surprised that I have not heard from you for quite some time, although of course I inquire about you and receive regards from time to time about what is happening with you. I was especially pleased to hear that you participated in the Yud-Tes Kislev farbrengen in Kfar Chabad.
Certainly among the things discussed at that event—and perhaps even earlier—you heard an explanation of why Yud-Tes Kislev is called the "Rosh Hashanah" for matters of Chassidus, especially since you come from Bessarabia and Romania where this movement was widespread.
I hope you have utilized and continue to utilize your influence and abilities regarding the matters we discussed when we met here, and first and foremost concerning the yeshivah in Kiryat Gat.
As you wrote to me previously that things did not develop as they should because those invited were not present, it is surely unnecessary to explain that all matters accomplished in Eretz HaKodesh were done specifically under such circumstances.
If you wish to say so, this is also a lesson from the days of Chanukah. For when there was only enough oil for one day—and it would take eight days to prepare new oil—according to human logic one might ask: why light at all only to stop; better to wait until there is enough prepared oil, etc. Nevertheless, they lit immediately—and behold! It miraculously continued and shone ever more brightly each day.

The Rebbe teaches that even when resources seem lacking, one should act with faith—just as on Chanukah—and trust that G‑d will bring success beyond expectation. Perseverance and immediate action are key in fulfilling important communal missions.
