איך בין געווען צופרידען צו באקומען די ידיעה וועגען אייער השתדלות צו אנהאלטען דעם מנין אין בית הכנסת, דריי מאל א טאג, און בכלל צו פארשטארקען די ענינים פון בית הכנסת, אין פילע פרטים.
און א ספעציעלע שמחה האט מיר פארשאפט די ידיעה, אז מ'גייט איינשטעלען א בימה אין מיטן פון בית הכנסת, אט אזוי ווי די שולען זיינען געווען אין דער אלטער היים פון דורי דורות.
און ווי ערקלערט אין פילע ערטער אין די ספרים הק' די העכסט וויכטיקייט פון דעם תיקון הבימה אין מיטן פון בית הכנסת.
וואס אויב אין יעדער ארט און אין יעדער זאך, דארף א איד טאן אלץ, עס זאל זיין אין פולען איינקלאנג מיט ווילען פון השם יתברך בורא העולם מיטן גרעסטען מעגליכען הידור, דארף דאס דאך געוויס אזוי זיין אין דער מאקסימאלסטער מאס, אין א בית הכנסת וואס השם יתברך רופט דאס "מקום אשר אזכיר את שמי" און וואס אידען קומען דארט בעטען בא השם יתברך, פאר זיך און פאר יעדערן פון די נאהענטע און פריינד אלץ וואס מ'נויטיגט זיך, און מ'וויל אז השם יתברך זאל צוהערען די תפלה און ערפילען די בקשה.
איז דאך פארשטענדליך, אז דאס דארף געטאן ווערען אין אזא וועג און צושטאנד, עס זאל זיין אין איינקלאנג מיט ווילען פון דעם, בא וועמען מ'קומט בעטען די בקשה, און עס זאל זיין וואס מער מהודר צו געפינען וואס מער געפעליגקייט און חן בא דעם וועלכער קען ערפילען די בקשה.
און השם יתברך זאל העלפען אז אלץ זאל דורכגעפירט ווערען מיט פיל הצלחה בשמחה ובטוב לבב.
און בפרט אז מיר געפינען זיך דאך אין די טעג פון חדש אדר, וואס חכמינו ז"ל האבען אנגעזאגט, מרבין בשמחה, וואס א אנזאג פון תורה איז דאך גלייכצייטיג אויך א נתינת כח און מעגליכקייט צו מקיים זיין דעם אנזאג.
בברכה צו גוטע בשורות אין דאס אלץ אויבען געזאגטע און בפ"ש צו די אלע וועלכע זיינען זיך משתדל און וועלען צוגעבען בהשתדלות בעניני בית הכנסת, ס'זאל אין דער פולער מאס פארדינען דער נאמען "מקדש מעט" ובכבוד.

I was pleased to receive the news about your efforts to maintain the minyan in the synagogue three times a day, and in general to strengthen all aspects of synagogue life in many details. I was especially joyful to hear that you are planning to install a bimah in the center of the synagogue, just as synagogues were arranged in the old country for generations.
As explained in many places in our holy books, there is great importance to this correction—having the bimah in the center of the synagogue. If in every place and matter a Jew must do everything so that it is fully aligned with the will of Hashem Yisbarach, Creator of the world, with the greatest possible beauty (hiddur), then certainly this should be maximized in a synagogue—which Hashem calls "the place where I cause My Name to be mentioned," and where Jews come to pray before Hashem Yisbarach for themselves and for their loved ones and friends for all their needs, hoping that Hashem Yisbarach will listen to their prayers and fulfill their requests.
It is therefore clear that everything should be done in such a way and state that it aligns with the will of Him before Whom we come with our requests—and it should be as beautiful as possible to find favor and grace before Him Who can fulfill those requests.
May Hashem Yisbarach help that everything should be carried out with much success, joy, and gladness of heart. Especially since we are now in the days of the month of Adar, about which our Sages of blessed memory said: "We increase in joy." A directive from Torah is simultaneously an empowerment and ability to fulfill that directive.
Blessings for good news regarding all of the above matters. Please convey my regards to all those who are involved or will become involved with matters relating to the synagogue—that it should fully deserve its name "miniature sanctuary." With honor.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that strengthening synagogue life—especially by installing a central bimah—should be done beautifully and wholeheartedly, aligning with G‑d's will. Efforts made during Adar are empowered by Torah's directive to increase joy.
