With pleasure I received the first donations from the Maos Chitim fund, whose collection was entrusted to you by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory. It is known that when a tzaddik—and especially a nasi in Israel—assigns a shlichus to a Jew, together with the mission he also grants him the necessary strengths to fulfill it in the best possible way, both regarding the mission itself and regarding the emissary. From this it is understood that through this, additional spiritual health is granted to the emissary and usually also physical health.

Furthermore, I hereby add my blessing that together with your entire family you should celebrate the upcoming Pesach holiday in proper health, with kashrus and joy and with long good years. May you and your wife receive abundant nachas—Jewish nachas and chassidic nachas—from all your children. For many years may you continue in your sacred post both as a shochet and as a gabbai in those matters which my revered father-in-law appointed you over.
