Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the eve of the 24th of Kislev, I was pleased to read about your set times for study in both Nigleh (revealed Torah) and Chassidus, and surely you will strengthen them further. Whoever adds is granted additional sons, life, and ample sustenance.
Regarding your question: you currently study one chapter of Tanya each day and ask if it is worthwhile to stop this practice in order to learn the Tanya shiur as divided in Hayom Yom. In my opinion: "From this and from that do not withdraw your hand," meaning you should continue learning a chapter of Tanya daily as before, and in addition, also review by heart the portion as divided in Hayom Yom.
I am enclosing my general letter from this past Zos Chanukah.
With blessing.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that one should maintain their established daily Tanya study while also adding the Hayom Yom division—combining both brings greater spiritual benefit.
