And it would be good for you to part in peace from your own Jews, as the saying of my father-in-law the Rebbe, of blessed memory: An "eigener Yid" (one's own Jew) is someone who is connected to Torah and mitzvos. Also, convey to them the content of this letter from Shmel'dz. Enclosed as well is a transcript of the talk from the fifth candle of Chanukah, which I delivered before the students—though in truth it applies to all the temimim and, in general, to every Jew who observes Torah and mitzvos. This also includes the commandment 'Hocheach tochiach' (you shall surely rebuke) and 'Ve'ahavta l'reiacha' (and you shall love your fellow), etc., and this should suffice.
