קבלתי מכתבו מכ"ז מ"ח, בו מתאר מצב בריאות זוגתו תחי' אשר לפ"ד הרופא דעתה יש לה כמה וכמה ענינים ומזמן לזמן פריסטופען של המרה וכו' ועתה מוטלת במטה בכאבים שונים.
לדעתי כדאי הי' שימצא רופא כללי היינו אף שאינו גדול כ"כ, אבל שיהי' לו ידיעה בכל הענינים, ויספר לו את חוו"ד כל הרופאים שהיתה אצלם זוגתו תחי' עד עתה, ויבקשו שיתעסק בכ"ז ויתן לה סדר כללי בהנהגה ובאכילה ושתי' וכיון שארז"ל שהרפואה באה ע"י סם פלוני ואיש פלוני כו' בלי הגבלה ע"ד גדלו ומהותו, הרי קרוב להיות שדוקא רופא ממהות זה וועט איר צוטרעפען ועל ידו תבוא הרפואה לזוגתו תחי'.

I received your letter from the 27th of MarCheshvan, in which you describe your wife's health situation, that according to the doctor she has several issues and from time to time there are disturbances of the bile, etc., and now she is bedridden with various pains.
In my opinion, it would be worthwhile to find a general physician—not necessarily a great specialist, but someone knowledgeable in all areas—and tell him all the opinions of the doctors your wife has seen until now. Ask him to take care of everything and give her an overall regimen in conduct, eating, and drinking. Since our Sages say that healing comes through a particular medicine and a particular person without limitation regarding their greatness or essence, it is likely that specifically such a doctor will be able to help her and through him healing will come to your wife.
With blessing to inform good news about the improvement of your wife's health.
