קבלתי מכתבו מכ"ד סיון ונהניתי לקרוא בו אשר קיימים על יד המוסד כולל חב"ד ארבעה מפעלי גמ"ח, ואשר הולכים ומתרחבים כו' שגדול הדבר ביחוד ומתאים לדרישת השעה.
ובאתי לעורר בזה - ובטח יש עדיין בידו לתקן - אשר השם "אוצר חב"ד" שקראו למפעלי גמ"ח אלו אינו מתאים. כי כבר לקוח הוא שם זה לענינים הרוחניים, היינו להדפסת כתבי יד וכו' של נשיאינו כ"ק רבוה"ק זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ולכן יסיר שתי המלות אלו "אוצר חב"ד" וישאר השם "קרן גמילות חסדים מרכזית של כולל חב"ד, ירושלים (ולכאורה כדאי להוסיף גם הר"ת) ת"ו".

I received your letter from the 24th of Sivan and was pleased to read that there are four gemach projects operating under the Kolel Chabad institution, and that they are expanding, which is especially significant and appropriate for the needs of the time.
I wish to raise a point—and surely you can still correct this—that the name "Otzar Chabad," which was given to these gemach projects, is not appropriate. This name is already used for spiritual matters, namely for publishing manuscripts and so on of our Rebbeim, our holy leaders of blessed memory. Therefore, please remove these two words "Otzar Chabad," and let the name remain as "Central Gemilut Chasadim Fund of Kolel Chabad, Jerusalem (and it seems advisable to also add the acronym) T.V."
