קבלתי מכתבו מיום ב' תבא, עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו, ואקראם בל"נ על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
בשאלתו בענין השם - הי' מענה כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שאין מתערב בזה ועל ההורים להחליט ויהי' לאורך ימים.
בקשעהמ"ט יאמר (קודם המפיל כמובן) קאפיטל למנצח יענך וכשיסיימו יאמר עוד הפעם פסוק יענך ויחשוב שירצה כאילו כיוון כל הכוונות.
ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולב"ב שיחיו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

I received your letter from Monday of Parshas Tavo, along with the enclosed pan (pidyon nefesh), and I will read them, G‑d willing, at the resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory.
Regarding your question about the name—the response of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, was that he does not intervene in this matter and that the parents should decide. May it be for long life.
At an auspicious time, you should say (before Hamapil, of course) the chapter "Lamenatzeach Ya'ancha," and when you finish it say again the verse "Ya'ancha," intending as if you had in mind all the proper intentions.
As we approach the new year that is coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I hereby express my blessing to you and your family for a good inscription and sealing for a good and sweet year both materially and spiritually together.
