I received your letter from the 19th of Elul and enjoyed reading about the farbrengen you organized on the 18th of Elul. From your description itself one can see how true are the words of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, that if one only begins to work and acts, it is certain that results will follow. One must simply approach the work and not be discouraged by the number of people at first, for with time their numbers will surely increase.

Regarding your question about accepting a position as a shochet, I hope that if you stand with proper strength you will also bring improvement in cattle shechita so that it will be as it should be—especially as you write that the rabbi is on your side. Until this is rectified, in my opinion for now you should focus on poultry shechita.

I will mention all those you noted in your letter at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, G‑d willing before Rosh HaShanah.
