עס האט מיך געפרייט צו הערן א גרוס פון אייך דורך ידידנו הרה"ג והרה"ח אי"א נו"מ עוסק בצרכי צבור באמונה כו' וכו' מהו"ר אברהם אלי' שי' אקסעלראד, און האט אויך געשיקט אייער מעמד געלט,
איך בין זיכער, אז אייער באטייליגן זיך אין מעמד, איז ניט נאר מיט געלט אליין, נאר דאס באווייזט מער אויף אייער הארץ געפיל און פארעהרונג אלס אויסדרוק פון התקשרות צו אלע ענינים פון מיין שווער כ"ק אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וועלכער האט זיך מוסר נפש געווען צו איינפלאנצען תורה ויהדות איבער דער גאנצער וועלט און ספעציעל אין דער לאנד, און וואס אויך איצטער, ווי דער לשון פון זהר הקדוש, צדיקא דאתפטר אשתכח בכולהו עלמין יתיר מבחיוהי (א צדיק נאך זיין הסתלקות פון דעם עולם, געפינט זיך אין אלע וועלטן נאך מער ווי באם לעבען זיינעם דא) האט ער א אויג אויף אלע זיינע ענינים וואס ער האט אויפגעטאן, און האט א קורת רוח, וואס זיינע ענינים וואקסען און שפרייטן זיך אויס בהצלחה, און פאר די אלע וועלכע נעמען איינטייל און העלפען אין זיינע ענינים, יעדערער נאך זיין מעגליכקייט, איז ער - דער צדיק - מעורר רחמים אויף זיי, צו געבענטשט ווערן יעדערער אין וואס ער באדארף.
בא דער געלעגענהייט שיק איך אייך, א פארצייכנונג פון דעם וואס איך האב געזאגט צו די תלמידים פון דער ישיבה, וועלכע ניצן אויס זייער וואקיישאן צו פארען איבער דער מדינה, אויף צו פארשטארקן אידישקייט, וואס איך האף אז אויך אייך וועט דאס אינטערעסירן, איר קאנט פילייכט אויסניצן דעם רעיון פון דעם שמועס, אויף צו ווירקען אויף אייערע באקאנטע, צו מקרב זיין זיי מער צו תורה און מצות בכלל און צו מנהגי ודרכי החסידות בפרט,
בברכה לאריכות ימים ושנים טובות, גאר כפשוטו, לאנגע געזונטע יארן, און אויך ווי די כוונה פנימית פון דעם, אז דאס זאל זיין גוטע געזונטע יארן אויסגעפילט מיט תורה אור ונר מצוה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to hear a greeting from you through our friend Harav haGaon veHarav haChassid iy"a nu"m, one who is involved in communal needs with faith etc. etc., Harav Avraham Eliyahu Axelrod, who also sent your maamad money. I am certain that your participation in maamad is not only with money alone, but it demonstrates even more your heartfelt feeling and reverence as an expression of connection to all matters of my father-in-law, the holy Rebbe zatzal nishmaso Eden zechuso yagen aleinu (may his merit protect us), who devoted himself with self-sacrifice to implant Torah and Judaism throughout the entire world and especially in this country. Even now, as the language of the holy Zohar says: Tzadika d'ispater ishtakach b'kulhu almin yateir mib'chayohi (A tzaddik after his passing from this world is found in all worlds even more than during his lifetime here), he keeps an eye on all his matters that he accomplished and has satisfaction when his matters grow and spread successfully. For all those who take part and help in his matters—each according to their ability—the tzaddik arouses mercy upon them so that each one will be blessed with whatever he needs.
On this occasion I am sending you a transcript of what I said to the students of the yeshivah who are using their vacation to travel across the country to strengthen Judaism. I hope that this will also interest you; perhaps you can use the idea from this talk to influence your acquaintances, bringing them closer to Torah and mitzvos in general and especially to the customs and ways of Chassidus.
With blessings for long days and good years—literally long healthy years—and also for the inner intention of this: that these should be good healthy years filled with Torah light and the candle of mitzvah.
