תכלית הבריאה, או "the purpose of creation," is a central concept in our tradition that explores the reason and ultimate goal for which Hashem created the world. According to the teachings of Chassidus and Kabbalah, the purpose of creation is for Hashem to have a "dwelling place" in the lower worlds. This means that Hashem desires that His divine presence be revealed and felt even in the physical, material world, which is the furthest from apparent spirituality.
The idea is that through our actions—following Torah, fulfilling mitzvot, and elevating the mundane—we transform the physical world into a place where the divine light can dwell. This process reflects the ultimate goal of making the world a place that reveals Hashem’s presence, fulfilling the purpose for which it was created.
